Payments and Discounts

Do you accept CODs?

CODs are not accepted. However, we do accept checks, money orders (US currency) and credit cards. (Visa, MasterCard and American Express.)

If I pay by check or money order, and an item on my order is canceled/discontinued, will I get a refund?

We will refund items valued over $5.00 by sending you a check. For items valued under $5.00, we must credit it to a credit card of your choice to be used towards a future order. You may also substitute another item for the canceled item.

Does Designing Memories take Pay Pal as a form of payment?

No, not at this time.

How do I pay by check?

You're welcome to mail in your check with your order. If you need assistance with pricing or getting a total on your order, please call our customer service department.

How do I pay online?

With your Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. We do not accept electronic checks as a form of payment.

How do I know how much duty will be charged on my international order?

All shipments made outside the USA may be subject to import customs charges, duties, fees, and/or taxes which are the sole responsibility of the customer. Please check with your local Customs Office for an estimate of charges on your order.

Shipping

How much does shipping cost for those living in Hawaii, Alaska, and other US territories?

Shipments will be made by U.S. First Class Mail. Below is a chart of shipping costs (up to 5 lbs.)

Orders for glass will be charged actual shipping. We reserve the right to adjust shipping charges for excessively heavy orders (over 50 lbs.).

Is rush shipping available?

Only for orders within the continental United States. Sorry, no rush shipping is available to Hawaii, Alaska, APOs/FPOs, US territories or International destinations.

What are the rates for rush shipping? (Continental US).

$13.75 for three day delivery up to ten pounds.
$21.75 for 2nd Day delivery up to ten pounds.
Orders over ten pounds will be charged according to weight. Please call for rates.

How much does it cost to ship a package to Canada?

We can only accept credit card orders from Canada. The shipping prices are as follows:

How much does it cost to ship to international destinations other than Canada?

These orders are shipped via U.S. Global Priority.

How long will my package take to ship to me?

If you live in the continental US, orders will normally get to you within 5-10 business days using U.S. First Class Mail. If you live somewhere other than the continental US, please allow more time. Your order will be shipped to you as soon as possible.

How long will my rushed package take to ship to me?

Rush orders are only available within the continental US. Rush orders received by 11:00 AM Pacific Time will ship same day. Two-day orders shipped on Thursday will arrive the following Monday..

Return Policy

We're sorry, but books may not be returned, and software may not be returned if it has been opened.

What is your return policy on items other than books or CDs?

If you are not completely satisfied with your order, we will gladly exchange your merchandise or refund the amount of your order (minus shipping and handling charges) within 20 days of the original purchase date. All sales are final on close-out merchandise through our online store.

What is your policy on defective products?

Please email or call us. Depending on the product, you may need to return it (we will pay shipping).

If I order a special order (one that Designing Memories doesn't normally carry), and then decide to return it, will I be charged extra for that?

Yes. Customers who return special orders will be subject to a 20% restocking fee, unless the item is defective.
