Who Is Designing Memories?
Designing Memories is the creation of two friends, both avid scrapbookers whose passion for their craft led to a career change. Donna May and Jackie York started documenting the treasured memories of family and friends many years ago, and what started as a hobby has evolved into a full time passion.

Donna´s Story
I am Donna May, co-owner of Designing Memories. I am 35 years old and live in Southern California with my husband Craig. We have two beautiful children Matthew who's six and Julia two years old.
I have loved scrapbooking for over eleven years and I have to say I have become addicted. Every chance I get I'm in my office working on a page. My great friend & business partner Jackie introduced it to me and since then I have created many memorable albums. I love seeing the joy and happiness my pages bring to my family and friends. I love photography so every photo I take there is a layout already forming in my head. I also love vacations away with my family riding ATV's, going to the mountains and first and foremost spending as much time as I can with my husband and children, little ones grow so fast I don't want to miss a thing.
I am so grateful that my family and friends are so supportive of my ambitions to have an online scrapbook business with my good friend and business partner Jackie. I am so excited to share the joy of scrapbooking with others. Scrapbooking enables us to take time to think about ourselves and our lives. What more could you ask for. This is a hobby that everyone can enjoy with you.
Jackie´s Story
My name is Jackie York. I have been an avid scrapbooker for many years. You could say I'm a scrapbooking addict. My addiction started with a scrapbooking party at my sister's house, and it hasn't stopped. My addiction has only gotten stronger and can no longer be controlled, not that I've tried.
Meanwhile, I was a serious businesswoman, Vice President of a software development firm. I liked the work, it was both intellectually challenging and financially rewarding, and I enjoyed the people I worked with. But I began to realize I was spending more and more time working: if I wasn't at the office, I was bringing work home with me. I found I had less and less time to do something I treasured, something that relaxed me: SCRAPBOOK.
Then my good friend Donna and I got to talking more and more frequently about making some significant changes in our lives. Donna had just started a family and I'm thinking of moving in that direction. We know we're not getting any younger so we decided now was the time to take our hobby to the next level and make it a business and our new careers.
So we sought out the vendors whose products we have been using and loving for many years, found a great firm to develop a great website, and geared up for a fantastic future!
